I cant offer alot of help as Singulair didnt agree with me.

I had bad side effects from it and was taken of it.

I got flu like symptons that wouldnt go away.

And was awake for over 7 days!

Ended up in costa before they realised it was the Singulair!

I am allergic to its twin too ""Accolate"".

cant take sends me loopy sorry

I started taking this on 7th March and to date have had absolutely no side effects. I seem to sleep through the night without coughing and I'm using my reliever less during the day. I also seem to be less allergic to dogs - see my post on the General Forum about this.

I started on Singulair last June - an absolute lifesaver cos my breathing was being badly affected by the pollen.

Best of all, since being on it I'm sleeping better.

I was put on Singulair just over a week ago for 3 weeks as the asthma nurse doesn't know what to try next. She told me that it is good for allergic asthma, especially during hayfever season and if it was going to work I would notice a difference within a couple of days.

Unfortunately I don't have allergic asthma and if I get hayfever at all it is very mild so it has not helped with my asthma at all.

I am getting some 'great' side effects from it and my body is now contradicting itself. Since the middle of last week I have been unable to sleep more than 4 hours a night (usually 2 to 3!) and although I know I am very tired I don't feel it. Also I get hungry at meal times but also feel full most of the time and get stomache ache if I do eat.

Oh well less than 2 weeks to go now and then see what else they throw at me

Hi i asked my consultant if i could go on singulaire as it has an effect on exercise induced asthma,. i play tennis and swim a lot but was regularly having bad attacks after and during sport, since going on the singulaire i have much better control of my chest during sport, and that is not because i have got any better at it!! i do not have any side effects from it either which is a real bonus, i would recomend giving it a go if you have exercise induced asthma,
