This might sound like an odd question to ask, but do u guys find the stuff u cough up tastes horrible all the time or just when it's infected?

I ask because I've been coughing a lot over the past 2 days but have put it down to the weather. Cough has been worse today and coughing more up and it tastes horrible :o/

Hi Moose

The stuff i cough up tastes pretty gross most of the time but it definitly has a more distinctive taste when it is infected and i can usually taste it when i breathe if my chest is feeling raw too.

I know this is a gross subject anyway!!!

If it is yellow/green then the chances are you have an infection so may need antibiotics.

Hope it clears up soon.

hi kimii,

your right it is a gross subject lol but dr's always seem to ask! lol

Have been coughing pretty badly and coughing up 'orrible green lung gung for about 5 days but i've just put myself back on to symbicort 400/12 as agreed with dr so i hoping that if that can get my ickle lungs to calm down, i'm fairly healthy so should fight off any infection but will keep an eye on things.

thanks for your reply :o)

I have had this for as long as I can remember, but Dr never done anything about it.

What could it be?

I also got rid of my 8 pet rats I had due to my asthma, and so far have not noticed any difference, and that has been over a week now.

keiran if it is an allergy to rats could take months until all traces of fur, dust saliva etc have disappeared from house, clothes etc.

Moose if tastes horrible and green definetley infected.

Mine begins to taste of nuts just before changes colour and causes a slat
