Please can you not use capital letters it is seem as shouting. Thanks

I have that medication for years and it is very good, it makes your lungs stay open for longer than the blue reliver inhaler.

I used it for about a month. It worked reasonably well for symptom control, but I felt very shaky and nervy on it, so that instead of lying awake waiting for my lungs to settle down, I was lying awake listening to my heart pounding. I have had the same reaction before to sudafed (often used as the decongestant in cold medicines). I think the problem was that using salmeterol morning and night, I was still needing to use the blue inhaler (salbutamol) several times in the day, and the combined effect was a bit much for me.

My doctor changed me to symbicort - on its own, with no blue inhaler - and that's been better. Still a bit shaky, but not as obtrusive.

With both of them the symptoms were better, but not completely gone. I don't know if they ever completely go.

It makes me reasise that if the side effects are this much of a nuisance treating my very mild asthma, they must be dreadful for those with much worse symptoms!

Thankyou Felix, since been on salmeterol ive felt shakey and my blood seems to go hot for a few mins then ok again, but its doing a world of good for my Asthma.Carnt remember how good it is to have my lungs full of air again.I can live with using 3 inhaylers if carry on feeling like this.Got my first Winter to get through and dread to think what that will be like.Love Glynis xxx
