Nitrous oxide test checks for inflammation within the lungs. My consultant prefers them. Basically u take a deep breath in. Blow out slow and steady into the tube. Easy to do And not as bad as the spirometry test . Depending on the reading indicates the inflamation within the lungs.

I take my medication as normal but usually leave a 4 hour gap between the two ..As I get spirometry done at same time. U might be better foning before the appointment and ask regarding medication.
