steriods and alcohol

does anyone know if you can have the odd glass of wine while on steriods? dr has put me on them and with christmas coming up was just wondering?

I have the odd glass of wine or a G&T, I asked once if it was Ok and was told it was fine but like all things moderation and caution are advised.

I am have been on long term pred for 20 years and do drink on occasion, lager, cider, wine etc. Can quite truthfully say that on the very rarest of occasions I have got a bit tipsy and haven't suffered, not that I am advising that you do, just saying if you do get carried away don't panic too much. Though if you do take any of the older anti histamines that make you drowsy then it really isn't wise to drink as this will increase those affects.
