blood specs in phem

i have a bad chest infection ive been bad for a week and now when i cough and bring up phem theres lots of bood specs in it can any one help im worried its never happened before

I would just go to the GP on Monday and get it checked put or OOH if you are worried this weekend. It is probably the strain from all the coughing, I have coughed blood before and was told it was just the infection, inflammation, strain etc but that isn't to say it shouldn't be checked as like you say it isn't right or normal. Hope it doesn't stop you enjoying a beautiful weekend

I too have had blood in my phlegm, GP who said it was the little blood capillaries rupturing with the strain of chest infection and coughing a lot. May be the same with you but as NickyNoo says I would get it checked out with GP.
