Phone 999!!
If your having such difficulty breathing that you fall you probs should have phoned 999 a while ago.
The other thing is, I'm sure when you fell you were breathing otherwise you would be dead now unless someone resuscitated you in which case you'd be very very very poorly and in intensive care in hospital.
Perhaps you should pay a visit to OOH today and get checked over, it sounds like your asthma isn't controlled. Perhaps you should book in with your GP for a review of your asthma medication too asap.
Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.
Sorry thought I should add;
OOH is out of hours doctors.
You need to get a parent or guardian to take you to be checked over. You can get the number for OOH by phoning your normal GP number.
By the sounds of it you need to be put on a preventer medication sooner rather than later so make sure you book an appointment with your GP or asthma nurse.
Good luck.
Fern, you are still getting used to having asthma and it's easy to feel that you're being a nuisance when you're having trouble breathing, especially if you're not wheezing and there's little evidence that you are struggling. Because your Mum and Dad don't have asthma they're going to find it hard to recognise when you need help so this is one area where you need to take the lead and tell them when your breathing isn't right.
Maybe you could ask your asthma nurse to help you and your Mum identify symptoms that mean you need help, and the type of help that is appropriate (seeing GP or asthma nurse, OOH or A&E). If you keep this list with all the phone numbers you might need it will be easier to decide what you need to do, and when.
It's still early days for you. Just remember that it doesn't matter if you get it wrong and go off to OOH when you don't really need to. It does matter if you get it wrong and DON'T go to OOH when you DO need to.
Take care of yourself.
