Has anyone heard of heart failure induced 'caridac asthma' before or does it really exist?? I was reading some notes and noticed it.

Ps. Iv got a demonstration from a med rep involving one of the new spiriva inhalers, they look really good and easy to use.

Hi Pete,

'Cardiac asthma' is just an old-fashioned term used to describe the wheeze that some people get in assocation with left ventricular (heart) failure and pulmonary oedema (fluid on the lungs). There's no association with bronchial asthma.
