Portable neb?

I have a nebuliser indoors & need to get a portable one for travelling/out & about. Any advice would be great please before I spend the money. Thank you in advance.

Hiya. I bought an omron microair U22 early last year and its fantastic! I actually use it at home more than my non portable one.

Its really quiet, runs on 2 aa batteries (so if you run out somewhere remote you can always get some more pretty much anywhere), and the mist is quite, i dont know how to describe it, dense I suppose so it seems to do the job quicker.

The only bad point is the mouthpiece is a tiny piece of tube so you cant chill out and breathe in and out through it you have to remove the mouth piece to exhale. However someone on here suggested using the mouthpiece from my plug in omron and that fits fine...otherwise using the mask works too!

Thanks for that, I will have a look online. It is good to hear what works for other people. Take care.

Omrom! Fab little thing! The Omron Microair - costs around £100 or less now.

Thanks Kate.

I am using the Omron Microair and bought mine 6 years ago for the then 200 pounds and it is still going. And yes the little rubber tube is a bit diddy but in correction to breathless's post the fitting that the rubber tube fits on to has a small gap behind it making it possible to exhale without removing your mouth from the omron microair.

A friend of mine uses the new micro air by Phillips, recharged using your mains, and is currently available for £99 with 3 years guarantee and she says it is better than the Omron Microair. I have looked at it and the only reason I have decided not to purchase one is the fact that you do have remember to charge it and so don't have the option of batteries. Some people won't mind this, but I have a mind like a sieve at the best of times.

I use Phillips as a supplier for my other compressor neb and can say that the customer service has always been good. In response to the Omron Microair it is only now that I am considering buying a new neb probably another Omron Microair, as I am noticing some where and tear. but for 6 years use I can't complain I have never had to buy spare parts to seek help from Omron for any problems.

Thats great Katina, thank you. I will be having a look online today. I do appreciate all your responses as it can be a minefield when you dont really know where to start!
