Helium-oxygen

Hi

I was just wondering if anyone has had or has helium-oxygen (heliox) to help during an attack?

I had it on ITU and it saved me from being ventilated.

I've never had it, but I remember a lot of discussions recently about it on the doctor;s forum - basically like most treatments for acute life threatening asthma there isn't much evidence for it, but anecdotal reports that it works. Some folk thought it was a good idea others thought it could be unhelpful. Glad it worked for you
