Crisis SmartMove?

wonder if anyone knows much about this scheme, my parents have a place to let, and someone contacted them today and said they were part of the scheme, don't know anything about it, never heard of it before.

I used to work at Crisis. It's a deposit guarantee scheme, which basically benefits people who haven't got or cannot afford a deposit who want to move into private sector housing. The scheme 'guarantees' the deposit, so basically acts as a financial guarantee to the landlord. It proved very popular while I was at Crisis and enabled thousands of people to get private sector leases who said they would not otherwise be able to afford them.

The lady who wants the property seemed very nice, she has some sort of learning difficulty, but that isn't a problem as far as anyone is concerned. She has to work now if she can afford the bills, but I've said to my parents, rather than leave it empty, and hope someone else turns up, help her out if she can't quite make ends meet and reduce the rent, even though it is cheaper than other properties of similar size already, the house is better in use, and if some one who needs it, can with a little help then i'm all in favour of letting her have it.
