I'm on call with the Red Cross lol, So I'm just spending it in with my boyfriend.

Good for you, elephant. I will be spending this New Year in the house with husband and cats.

Last year we went to local club's New Years Dance where, at The Bells, in true Scottish tradition, some of my friends although loaded with the cold, gave me a big New Year's hug which unintentionally led to a months bronchitis for me and which coincidentally led to asthma diagnosed. I basically missed the first two months of 2009 by being poorly.

Having noticed some of those self-same friends sneezing away and sniffing over the last two weeks, I'm staying clear of this year's New Year Dance. First one I've missed in a long time. 8(

Healthy at the moment and planning to stay that way - fingers crossed.

Curled up with choccies, Lottie Dog and some good DVDs, whoops forgot hubby. Might have a drink or two, but depends on how I feed. But the choccies are a definite.

I've just got over an infection so I'm staying in watching telly with a couple of cans and a heater on full blast as the second wave of cold weather is coming.

Hi. I'm new to all this. Diagnosed early this month. I've been invited to go 'indoor camping' for 3 nights! Lovely spot, just a bit concerned about how cold I'll be! My lungs really don't like cold air!

Happy Newyear everyone and hope a better year for everyone.

I think I will be main-lining augmentin and buscopan glooop seasoned with cyclizine and ondansitron all washed down with a nice bottle of IV paracetamol, for cocktails I think I will stick with peretine. Whilst my kids take advantage of the £15 per bottle Moet and Tattinger - at Asda of all places - and will probably be making a lot of noise put hey it only happens once a year :)

It was my 22 Birthday on New Years Eve.... and was working until 10pm

I saw the new Year in by playing on the Sims! Only control over life I have....

I went out for a lovely meal with my sister and her partner. Our evening proved that some of the best nights out are the unplanned ones. My sister is very full of a cold and so we didn't book anything in advance. We managed to get a taxi straight away when we wanted one and got a table at our favourite restaurant straight away too. We were supposed to be staying out but my sister wasn't so good in the cold air (her eyes kept streaming poor thing) so we went home at 10pm and played board games, x box and watched Jools on BBC2. At midnight we celebrated with campagne and watched our neighbours wish lanterns float through a snowy sky. Had we stayed out we would have froze in the snow standing outside York Minster waiting for midnight. All in all luck was on our side and I wish everyone a happy and healthy new year. I have a good feeling about this year!

I went to a friends house, because her and her fiance had come back for New Year

and got the best news ever...

That they've moved back to England from France and have no intention of going back

Made my year :D

I was supposed to be going camping but cancelled my place. Thought -5 was too cold, the plan was to in to friends and watch a DVD, but at 1pm I was invited to a fancy dress party! Then this afternoon I went to a friend's for a buffet. I had a great time!

Despite best efforts, DH and I have the startings of a cold. Invited out but didn't seem fair to pass on our sniffles. Watched the Bells then bed by 1am.
