I started my daughter on Lyprinol and have noticed quite an improvement in her asthma. She can now laugh (or cry) heartily without it ending with a bout of coughing. Has anyone used this and felt there was a noticeable difference?

Lyprinol
A new patented and stabilised natural marine lipid extract comprising a rare combination of lipid groups and unique Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids.
This information is taken from lyprinol.com and is quite informative:
Lyprinol® has been shown through clinical research to be an extremely potent anti-inflammatory.
This unique marine product has been exposed to critical review by many research institutions world wide and is proven to have significant anti-inflammatory activity in vitro in inhibiting leukotriene synthesis and in vivo by markedly reducing the severity of adjuvant-induced poly arthritis in rat models. Various publications have been released confirming these results and the recent completion of a human double blind study conducted at the Glasgow Hospital in Scotland also confirmed these results.
....which tells us that it is a naturally-occurring version of the commonly-used asthma prescription medications called Leukotrine Antagonists (montelukast and zafirlukast in the UK - AKA Singulair and Accolate).
Just a cautionary word that I always mention to people who are considering trying health foods/supplements etc - please double-check with your doctor, if you haven't already; do be aware that even ""Natural"" products can interact and interfere with prescription medications, and may have potent effects on the body; and always ensure you get your supply from a reputable manufacturer.
I'm glad your daughter's asthma is so much better, and I hope the improvement is sustained.
