worth contacting local hospital to find out if they have chronic pain service as they may offer acupuncture as treatment. That may reassure anyone re blood thinning medications. The other option is to Google BAWMA British Academy Western Medical Acupuncture and they can possibly tell you who is in your area offering acupuncture from well qualified and experienced practitioner. Also there are quite a number of registered physiotherapists who also do acupuncture for pain relief, maybe your surgery will be able to give details of any in your area. Either way it may well be that you have to pay privately but I have no idea what those costs would look like. Sorry can’t think of any other avenue but the ones I have mentioned will certainly have both some form of accreditation and also a good treatment history. Hope that helps, sounds like it may help your Mums pain if she is a responder. Certainly if you have chronic pain service at local hospital would be helpful to ask your Mums GP to refer anyway as they may have something that could perhaps help and wouldn’t need to interfere with her current clinicians, in fact one of them could refer her to chronic pain clinic if there is one. Maybe ask the question. I hope she can get some help with her dreadful pain, good luck.
