just try an slow ur breathin down by breathin in thro ur mouth an out thro ur nose slowly an from ur belly not ur chest, watch ur belly go in an out so u kno ur doin it right. easier said than done i kno cos i've been goin thro it myself all nite x

My experience would be breathe in through your nose and out through you mouth and if you really struggle get a brown paper bag and breathe in and out of that slowly. I have had them for 30+ yrs now and that is what i have to do. Your hyperventilating and for me the best thing to do is stand near an open window feel the cool air. Or if your near a door to outside then just stand at your door. Just take slow deep breaths in through the nasal passage and out slowly through the mouth. Do something to take your mind off it, i would suggest if you can and with someone go for a walk. Do not get yourself so worked up that your breathing gets out of control, i know its easier said than done because once your hyperventilating you panic yourself to the point where you feel its no good you just cannot breathe, NO this is not true you can breathe you just forget how to in that short space of time, i know it feels like a lifetime but honestly its not. Like i said if you can go for a walk if not then get to a door and if thats not possible just stand at your window with it open, take those slow deep breaths. Or you could try laying on your back, arms by your side close your eyes, make sure your room is warm, dark and your alone. then do the breathing. I really do hope this works for you and if you want to ask anything else or just let me know if you tried anything and how it worked then that would be nice. Keep it up and never forget your going to beat it. Good luck Debs x
