Hello,

I recently switched to Prozac after being on Lexapro for about a year and a half.

The experience started great, I cross tapered with 5mg of lexapro. I had renewed interest in things I enjoyed like films and books and games. However, Wednesday on my way to work I experienced a horrible panic attack.

Then on Friday evening I experienced an even worse one at home.

Finally, I had 3 panic attacks as soon as I went outside to head to my significant others apartment on Saturday.

I missed work today and yesterday, and really haven’t left the house.

My psychiatrist put me back on 10mg of lexapro to go with the 20mg of Prozac. I’m still not feeling right, still panicky, and didn’t leave the house today.

I’m debating whether or not to miss work again tomorrow (my boss is not a nice man), and I’m deeply saddened that I have to miss a Mets game I was supposed to go to with a close buddy of mine. He had gotten us tickets for my recent birthday but the stadium is so far from my apartment and I’m terrified of panicking again on my way there or during the game.

Need some advice or words of wisdom, I’ve struggled before but this is really testing me. Just need this lexapro to kick back in…

Thanks

I am sorry that you are suffering and sorry you have to miss the Mets game. I hope the Lexapro kicks back in and gives you some relief very soon.
