Just looking to vent and remind myself of helpful things to do

I'm struggling to sleep right now. I'm feeling anxious and it has been disturbing my sleep. I felt really good for a few days, extremely focus, engaged and relaxed then yesterday I began to worry, struggled to fall asleep then woke up 3 times, about every 2 hours. Mind is racing with thoughts. Low appetitee, felt it hard to focus yesterday, and difficult to focus on tasks that are normally simple.

I have a plan written down with steps to take. Priority is self care, especially getting enough sleep, having enough food, and getting out for a walk each day. I'll also reduce my schedule of other things a little f I feel its necessary.

Hi ABCD98 It's good to vent rather than sweep our issues under the rug.I sometimes find myself mumbling as a form of venting.

It sounds like you have a good plan in mind.

I always add a Plan B just in case A doesn't work. You've got this my friend :) xx

Sometimes venting is good for the soul. Sounds like you are doing good things taking care of yourself. One of the things that has helped me with sleep disruption is trying not to worry about it and just accept that it is part of the ebb and flow of life. I've been amazed at how well I can function even with going without sleep for 2 or 3 days. I also mentally count backward from 100 to 0 when going to sleep which helps me relax.

Its all well and good ABCD98 having a plan, but when are you going to put it into action?

If you are not eating enough, you will not get the energy to do anything but sleep - the trouble is you want to sleep but cant, this is because you are stuck in a vicious circle! You need to have a well balanced diet, plenty of vitamins (natural vitamins from diet) get out and about, DO things - are you working? Fill your time, work, exercise, take an interest in life, the world. By doing these things sleep will automatically come. Take an interest in YOU and in others.

Negativity is a huge problem, turn all things negative into positive. Life is only lived once - LIVE IT.
