Sudden Panic Attacks After A Long Time

I haven't had panic attacks in the longest time (maybe about 2 to 3 months) and one suddenly hit me out of nowhere to go. It terrified the hell out of me; I suddenly felt like I couldn't take a deep breath and my heart was racing and I felt nauseous. And I was reminded all over again how terrifying a panic attack can be. I was so close to asking my parents to call an ambulance but I let the panoc wash over me for a bit and then calmed down a little.

I'm still shaky and I'm terrified of experiencing another one. I hate this feeling so much.

My job is pretty stress-inducing, and I've thoughts of quitting. But it's a job that helps pays the bills. But it's really fucking with my mental health because I'm always anxious about not meeting deadlines (we have a strict turnaround time). I'm so, so tired of living like this.

So sorry to have read that you are going through this! It will be ok, and you just take the time that you need to regroup, and cope. You do not have to be perfect, nor the best, nor anything other than what you need at this time.

Panic Attacks are the WORST! I believe in you, keep your head up!

Thanks so much!! Every day feels like a challenge and sometimes its so hard to plough through the day, but one step at a time, no matter how difficult it is.

I sympathize with you my panic attacks have recently flared up over this last month I’m pretty sure do to stress and gaining all the weight back I lost. My panic attacks range from like this feeling of fear coming over me and then a shot of omg I got to survive and I start freaking out sometimes it even makes me move fast. I’m pretty sure I talked myself into a panic attack today while mowing grass I started breathing deeply and deeply for some reason like I’m pretty sure I was doing it on purpose because my brain was like you’re not breathing enough even though I was and I kept taking deep breaths and it made me dizzy and thinking omg I’m dying why is this happening to me and then made me go into a full blown panic attack with a racing heart high blood pressure and sugar also at the beginning it made me hands and lips get super tingly it was scary. I am also tired of living like this but we will get through it I’m trying something new I’m trying to redirect my thoughts and except the panic and how I’m feeling and telling myself that this is a normal feeling and to not fight it it’s okay to feel like this. Because I’ve also learned taking deep breaths will lead to a panic attack for me

Hi Adam! Thank you so much for your response/ My anxiety has gotten so bad these past week and it's affecting my job, and it's making me more anxious because now my work is piling up. It's a vicious cycle. I'm also so stressed because I gained back all the weight I lost pre-Covid and now no matter what I do, it just feels like I can't lose the weight and that's stressing me out also. I keep feeling like there's somethinf wrong with my chest even though I just had an ECG done two weeks ago and everytbing's fine. I'm just so lost and tired right now and I'm trying to just accept it and go through it, but I find myself just feeling worse every single day. Sometimes fear washes over me for no reason and I'm convinced I'm going to die from that, but I know it's just my brain. It's really so frustrating thinking about it.
