I hope I’m aloud to post about this, basically my smell and taste has gone I can taste sometimes the tiniest bit, same with the smell, the tiniest bit, I’ve developed a tiny cough but it’s only when I take a deep breath and have that little tickle in my throat that I cough, I’m scared I’m going to die from it I’m not panicking etc but I’ve had this no taste and smell for like 3 days and maybe in the future what If I was to die, would I of got worse already if it was going to turn out serious,

Thankyou

Hello :-)

You suffer with Health anxiety as I suppose you must realise by now and I know how that feels as I suffer myself but I am now twice your age and a little bit more yet I started suffering at your age and before to

I wish you would get some help with it as over the years it actually has affected my physical health and contributed to some serious things going wrong and I would not want this to happen one day to anyone else so young when there is help out there

We fear death yet it is going to happen to us all one day that is something we cannot avoid if only but at your age you have so much to look forward to so much life ahead of you that help would make you stop worrying about it when time is truly on your side :-)

As for thinking you have covid , you can do a lateral test you can either get them from any Chemist or go on the Government website and order one to your home you should get them the next day

Just put in Lateral testing kits and the Government one will come up and follow the instructions to order a box if you do not want to go to a Chemist

No one can say if you have covid or not without a test if you have symptoms a test will be able to tell you that but now people are getting covid and surviving so much more than when it first started so I doubt even if you tested positive you would

Do a test so you can have peace of mind and get the support you need to help you with your Health Anxiety because all the reassurance in the world won't make it go away but the right support will help you manage it better :-) x

Get a test done. That, if nothing else would put your mind at ease if it comes back negative. If it comes back positive, at least you will know and can get medical advice and a pathway to follow. The key to this is to get a test. Book one today, the sooner you book, the sooner you will know.

I had covid last December, basically it was like a cold with nasal congestion for me. I did lose my sense of taste 1 day, but my smell lasted 5 months. I got used to it- it was a joy to get it back in May. Practice everyday with different essential oils- just smelling them- it does something with the brain/nose connection. You are going to be just fine! 98 percent of people are! Good thing to think about is you can go in 6 months and get a blood draw ( not a finger prick) and they can check your antibodies- I still have antibodies almost 12 months later! Positive- you now have natural immunity! That’s the best kind! Stay well hydrated- gargle with salt water for your tickly throat. You’ve got this!

Oh! I just reread your post- Absolutely go get a rapid test! They are available all over the place. You shouldn’t be around people until you know for sure- vaccinated and unvaccinated are spreaders. Good luck!
