Blood in phlegm

Hi just a question my anxiety is going through the roof. Was in hospital yesterday I was clearing my nose/throat and brought up blood in my phlegm but when I cough it’s just green, had a chest X-ray all was clear bloods was clear they said I had a viral infection would it off been coming from my lungs if the chest X-ray was clear

Hi Hypo, I just saw your post now.Very often, blood in the phlegm can come from our sinuses or

even our inflamed gums. I know it can be scary to see that but the

fact you had it addressed and the x-ray was clear, you are okay.

When you are feeling better, maybe you can see your dentist if this
