Hi I’ve been taking 50mg sertaline for 6 months now, after 6 weeks they did brilliant for me very little aniexty and depression! Started from better after 3 months so reduced them by half for 6 weeks. Then symptoms started creeping back in so I started taking them daily again but they don’t seem to have the same affect as what they did originally. Could the tablets be making me worse or lost there effectiveness! Not sure wether to stop them or increase my dose to 100mg. Anyone else experienced this?
I’ve also been drinking alcohol every other weekend and the odd bit of cocaine and cannabis!

Hi Westwood, you are going to need to ask your doctor. Whatever you do, please do notincrease on your own.
It's never a good idea to play around with the dosages just because we feel better.
Once you cut the dose in half, you lost the efficacy of the medication. It can take from 4-6
weeks to rebuild up in your system. But I'm not a doctor and again, it's best to let him
know. That's including the fact that you are using alcohol and a bit of cocaine and cannabis.
(which may be a dangerous combination) Be safe and let your doctor know xx
Tell your doc what you just told us and take it from there. My 'guess' would be that since you reduced the dosage it will take a while to get back to square one. In any case, talk to your doc. Amen to Agora 1.
