Lately I’ve been struggling with waking up and feeling really anxious and I’m not sure how to calm it down I’ve tried meditation but it doesn’t work for me and sometimes it lasts for ages so I’m just not sure what to do. I feel it in the morning that’s it and I’m not sure.

Don't eat too much when you go to bed, and have a chamomile tea before sleep time. Sleep as long as you need and take naps. Eat bland, but nutritious food, cut back on salt, sugar, spice, caffeine, alcohol, etc...don't irritate the stomach and nerves. Exercise or physical activity helps, but not too strenuous. If work causes anxiety and stress, cut back or get another job.
Hi Daisy, Anxiety likes to greet us first thing in the morning for many reasons.First is our Cortisol and Adrenaline levels are at their highest, starting to peak
around 4am. The other reason is when first opening our eyes, the first thing that
hits us is a New Day. New challenges, What If's, Fear & Terror know as the Fight or Flight
response hit's us hard.
The longer we stay in bed and contemplate over these thoughts, the more this cycle builds
until we almost start fearing going to bed at night knowing what lies ahead of us.
I was like that for a long time until I found the "key" to success. Knowing how our Mind/Body Connection works helps a lot. Once I knew it was more than just my thoughts but an actual chemical change going on in the brain early morning, I was able to find some control over it.
Meditation and Breathing properly are an excellent way to calm down both the mind and the body response. It takes time and practice. It becomes a changing life style for those who
want success. I Meditate 3x a day. First thing upon opening my eyes in the morning, mid afternoon to regenerate and once again before bed. The Meditation before bed puts my
subconscious mind in a calmer state of being. Helps me to sleep better and helps with morning anxiety.
Morning meditation and breathing actually lowers the adrenaline levels and the symptoms that come along with that. Once you find that you can and will be in control once again, you will not fear the fear. The cycle will be broken. And you will win the game tht Anxiety plays.
