Been having palpitations recently and some shortness of breath. This was my 2D-echo results. Apparently, I have mild aortic regurgitation.

I read somewhere that some people with this condition only live for 2-3 years. I don’t know what to make of this. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.🙏🏼

Hi I think you would be better off posting this in British Heart Foundation which is also on this platform. I hope you find some answers.

Some mild regurgitation is not harmful and will not be the cause of an early demise..the heart is performing very well.. what does your doctor say??

It’s become bothersome to me because of I’ve been having some symptoms for the last month or so. Palpitations along with some shortness of breath and at times even lightheadedness. I’m usually an active person so it bothers me that just going up a flight of stairs can trigger an episode of palpitations. It’s kinda frustrating.

I would guess it’s anxiety triggered because you’re worried about your valve ... speak to your doctor about regurgitation, it’s very common!!

I wasn’t particularly anxious about any of it before it started happening more often. The palpitations and the other symptoms are just bothersome so I wanted to get some input. I’m symptomatic.
