Anyone been given antihistamines for anxiety please x

hi Jimmyluke,what did your gp say at the time of given you antihistamines--surely,you thought thats what they are for,as I have never heard of antiH.for depression,especially when your on Citralopam---unless its to counteract adrenilin?hopefully someone else can shed light on the matter----Im sorry to hear you are suffering ,but once you get adjusted to the anti-depressants-and your nervous system settles----try looking up Claire WEEkes she is very old school,and ker knowledge and description of how to Accept and not fight those feelings---I myself found her understanding and description of nervous energy a huge help in my getting over a similiar bad spell which was horrendous --wouldnt want anyone to suffer....Keep posting. and anything I can help with etc.

I’m on sertraline now love they said it’s just to calm me well the sertraline work on day 12 today feel terrible xxx

hi,is there anything that you find distracts you from the horrible feelings;you have a son.I read earlier ,,,hopefuly your day will get better,it takes time and you have to find things which you used to enjoy to help you get over this very bad spell,;you will get over it,slowly but surely,its taken me a long time ,but everyone is different in their own way sending good healing thoughts...

No,I was offered anti-deressants in 2018,when a new Gp cut my 5mg Diazapam --I had been on them for at least 25yrs --but now I still take 2mg diazapam for Generalised Anxiety,,,im older but its something thats been in my make up from my tearly 20s---But ,I did go 2yrs of hell and thankfully,its eased my whole being was focused on my uncontrollable feelings of anxiety,depression ect--most people(I think)go through a very bad patch before theres some light and that is worked on by me ,no Gp or therapist,or family support--sorry to ramble this will all seem like gobbligook to you,--focus on the present--not tomorrow or yesterday----it takes time xx

Thanks so much love , they gave me 2 mg of diazepam 3times a day for 10 days , not allowed any more xx

They tried cutting back my diazapam at the start of the pandemic,but I told them that the Gp in question,was too quick to cut them back,so I get 28 tabs-though I try to use them sparingly----do they help you ?Gps cut back as they realise how habit forming they are as well as the effect wearing off if used too often --its hard -as long as you can get some sleep and to learn to relax without the aid of them..
