Hey! Thank you for being so welcoming! Yes, I have a lot going on! & I’m enrolled in school getting my BA in criminal justice! Plus 3 cats & a German Shepard 😹😹!
Wow Becca, I certainly admire you. Criminal Justice??
I have a passion for German Shepherds. You've got it all but let me ask you,
does Becca ever get some "me time"? Especially while carrying such a heavy
schedule, 5-10 minutes of quiet time for you could help immensely.
Time to quiet the Mind & Body.
It was that time of my life that I felt I was Woman and could do it all, that I found
Meditation & Breathing first thing in the morning, mid afternoon and evening put
me in a good place mentally. There's always a few minutes to squeeze in some
calming breathes, pulling your shoulders away from your ears and just letting the
stress of the day flow away.
I'm so glad you are a part of our virtual family. Breathe whew xx
Thank you for that reminder! I do take time every morning usually for about an hour to an hour & half to spend time in my Bible & prayer. & I have an alarm set M-F from 11:30am until 1pm to make myself take a break, eat, relax, read, watch tv! I tend to get hyper focused on things & will literally lose all sense of time & the next thing I know it’s 4pm & I’ve been doing school work since 6am. 🥴🥴. I also do set aside time most evenings, trying to be better at doing it everyday but yo journal for a few minutes. My therapist harps on me to journal. I do it almost every day!
I think me time is time without focusing on bible study TV journal writing. Its time focusing on you and just you. Without a distraction in hand. Distractions eat away at time but taking the few minutes a day to put away outside things ...and spend a little focus on you. Yourself. Not god or anyone else. Just you. Is a very difficult thing to do but very beneficial to all things. And since you have a lot of outer things going on in your life its even more important to take time away from all those outer distractions. It helps to change all kinds of things in the brain and hormones and heart rate and just the entire system. But its one of the hardest things to do as well. Most people will find any excuse outside themselves to avoid doing it. Or will even do it in such a way that they can tell themselves they have done it but really they have not. It can take a lot of work to even get to a place where you can sit and not become distracted for a few seconds of the ten minutes. Its even harder than all the other things you already do I'd say. It sounds like a simple thing. But I find it very very hard. When I do manage it it does amazing things. But its probably the hardest thing I've ever learned to do and one of the best. God bless!
