Lorazepam + Buspar?

Please, anyone take these two medications together? What has your experience being? I was prescribed Buspar early January but haven't had the courage to start taking it. I'm scared of drug interactions and added side effect but the last few months have been a nightmare so I am pushing myself to start taking it. Thanks.

If medications do interfere, it would increase sedation.

Lorazepam did wonders for my mood swings (which in turn drastically curbed my drinking) and buspar has been great for my anxiety. Buspar makes me a little tingly/relaxed at first, but not drowsy. Besides that, literally zero side effects from either of them. They are both great individually and do well together!

Thanks katemzy . I started the Buspar this morning but had to break the tablets into two for a start and took the lorazepam about 3hrs later. I get very nervous starting a new medication with my underlying POTS condition.

Buspar is great. I have been on both of these together before and they worked great for me. ( Had to change during pregnancy). I have had zero side effects from buspar and still take it during times of high stress. The only thing is I don't like to drink alcohol on it because I don't like the way it makes me feel. Good luck!
