Anxiety
I get some tingling and numbness in my left arm when I get anxious. It’s because of a shoulder/neck injury on my left due to a car accident. Tiredness and stress will cause the symptoms to resurface.
Do you usually sleep on the numb side?
Yes I had it for several months while taking Mirtazapine. Paresthesia was on the list of side effects and I particularly struggled with oral paresthesia which triggered my panic attacks. Relief came when switched to low dose Olanzapine which is supposed to help with unusual feelings but maybe just stopping the Mirtazapine would have sorted me.
I had a terrible case of Generalized Anxiety Disorder. My face would get numb all the time ... plus all kinds of other physical manifestations. That's the nature of anxiety. Doctor told me they diagnose it by exclusion. Which means every time you get some weird symptom ... they will test and test you. When they all come back negative, they say, "Oh ... it's anxiety."
I got tired of the 'test' merry-go-round, so I just knew every odd thing I felt was the anxiety. Phooey with all the tests!
