Does anyone else get this randomly through the day all together? It’s so random and happens when it wants sometimes intense sometimes it’s not, it sometimes gets better with walking, sometimes dosent, and it sometimes lasts long, sometimes it’s a few seconds but it’s so scary

Yes, I do. Chest, arm, back and neck. Usually lasts for longer times with me. Sometimes feels like most of the day. Have you tried a muscle cream on it yet? Sometimes if it’s bugging me I’ll put some on where it’s painful and that normally works real well.

It can be scary. But for me, after it had been going on for so long and the docs said everything was ok heart-wise, I just kind of accepted that it was an anxiety symptom for me and I try not to let it worry me so much. Now it’s like an early warning system for my anxiety and I try to deal with the anxiety before it gets too bad.

I had right arm pain all of yesterday. And then I have been having heart flutters today. I have gotten my heart checked so many times , doctors say nothing wrong but I’m turning 40 in one month and I swear that knowledge is convincing me that my heart has issues. I just want to not be anxious for a while and enjoy life. I also have costochondritis so chest pain is normal for me. But the arm pain isnt, it’s gone away today though, but the heart flutters remain. I hope you feel better soon, but yes, anxiety has caused so many areas of my body to hurt for real that I worry that when something is really wrong I might write it off to my own detriment.

I’ve had the heart flutters (mine are premature atrial contractions) to go along with the chest pain too. I’m 46 and like you was convinced my heart has issues. It’s taken a lot (time and effort both) to get to where I don’t worry about the palpitations. Of course the cardiologist said I don’t need to be worried. But honestly, the less anxious and afraid I am about the palpitations, the less I have them and when I do get them, the go away much quicker. Really, it seems to be the more I can reduce my overall anxiety, the less frequent they become. But definitely not worrying if they do start makes them go away quicker and feel less severe than before.

I’m fairly sure my heart has no issues, but my cardiologist is doing an angiogram Monday to make sure all is well and check out some calcification to see just how bad it is. After that, we’ll definitely be sure either way.

I am curious how you were diagnosed with costochondritis. I came across that when I was researching my constant nagging chest pain, but I had no idea how to be sure if that’s what it was.
