Just a question, my mum tested positive for covid-19 over 2 weeks ago and has been self isolating since. She has done another test and its still come back positive. She has no symptoms now. What happens now? I'm all abit confused by it all
Thanks 😀

Hi
I believe that till you get a negative result you have to keep self isolating
Phone your Doctors and ask but meantime I would say you have to keep self isolating
I recall reading from a reputable source (a specialist in a hospital) that covid19 is no longer contagious after 6 days from the onset of symptoms. But we all know that the science around covid19 is still very young, so I would add another few days to that estimate to be in the safe side. Also, I remember Dr. Sanjay Gupta and other TV physicians discussing early on in the pandemic that the covid19 test cannot distinguish between "live" and "dead" virus and this could explain why there are people who continue to test positive for weeks and weeks. Having said all this, if I were you, I would still seek out a professional opinion from the testing center where your mom had her test.
