Head Pressure: Hey everyone, for about... - Anxiety Support
Head Pressure
Lovepumpkin my answer is Yes, Yes and Oh Yes. At one time, I lived with this head pressure each and every day. Felt like a balloon blown up inside your head.
It does come from anxiety. The more we fear the feeling, the tighter the muscles surrounding the head become. Then we try to compensate by jutting our head forward, holding our shoulders up to our ears which only makes it worse.
Spasms/Trigger Points developed in the base of the skull as well as the neck and shoulders.
If you took your fingers and pressed on different areas of these tight spots, you would feel
intense pain. Those are the trigger spots.
Some of the ways to reduce this pressure feeling is with hydration, physical therapy and Meditation and breathing. It must become a daily practice of "me time". Learn to let go of
stressors through Talk Therapy is helpful. It is not dangerous but very uncomfortable It will eventually go away in time. xx
I have had head pressure like this as well! It is such an uncomfortable feeling.
After getting hit in the head that caused my anxiety I get a lot of symptoms in my head. Such as head pressure, the feels of ants crawling in my head, blood rush feeling, memory problems. YOU NAME IT!
I get these symptoms especially if I’m on an airplane. It’s so scary because I feel like I’m going to die.
I used to but now my stress levels are better not at the moment . Keep safe.
I have the same symptoms as Agora1 has exactly. Thank you for confirming what I only thought might be because of anxiety.
I have it, very uncomfortable, but mine hurts to and in my face with other neuro symptoms.. I pray one day it goes away or they figure out how to help it.
