What is normal and what isn’t

So I have a question? I really hope somebody can help me with this, I’m having a lot of confusion, I have searched hours and hours online trying to find what’s normal and what isn’t, obviously I have anxiety and I’ve made several post on here before about what an anxious person I am, I have a panic attack‘s I have always dealt with shortness of breath due to panic and anxiety but this feels a little more physical not so much mental, I don’t know if I’ve always done this and I’ve never noticed it before but now I pay so much attention to my breathing ..... I noticed that I get somewhat winded toting in groceries in the house, walking fast, walking and talking Mopping and sweeping.... you know normal every day activities, I’m not going to say I’m full on out of breath that’s not the case I just feel like winded feeling!?? Is this normal does everybody feel this way!? Am I just reading too much into everything that I’m doing or should I be concerned... again I have severe anxiety... I acknowledge that that can cause some shortness of breath and no I don’t feel out of breath laying down or anything like that mostly just doing a little simple things.

Hi Laesanders89, I can get like that as well whenever I'm thinking of what I'm doing.

The minute we focus on our movement, we can quietly relay to our mind that it may

be harmful or it may bring on breathlessness and BAM...we go right into the thought.

I will say, since I am not a doctor, it is always in your best interest to have a doctor

address this first before turning it over to anxiety.

Another trigger lately is the fact that we all know that Covid gives many people

breathlessness. The subconscious mind has taken in that info and each time we feel

that symptom w/o even realizing it, we can feel sensations of our breathing being less than what it should. The doctor is always first and then we can help by keeping you safe and addressing Anxiety. :) xx

Agora1. I have had a chest x-ray A chest ct EKG ultrasound of the heart countless bloodwork and I have a pulse ox meter at home... everything comes back normal! i’m just trying to understand if it’s normal for people to feel a little winded when doing things that increase the heart rate. Things that wouldn’t be considered exercise. Like today I was toting the groceries from the car inside the house I felt winded... if you look online it says that’s not normal that somethings wrong that you need to get it looked into... I know I’m not supposed to google. God knows I try to stay away... i’m just noticing the breathlessness with certain things.. just starting to get under my skin and make me feel like there’s some rare thing I have That the doctors won’t catch this going to kill me and that the shortness of breath is the sigh so that’s why I just wanna know if everybody gets that way... If that’s a normal thing that nobody else picks up on and I’m only picking up on it because I have such bad anxiety! Also Every time I have had a post with concerns you have always responded, I appreciate that about you agora1 a lot of your comments youve left have helped me through this journey I’ve been in over the past several months... thank you for your input!

Laesanders, I sympathize with you because I know what it is like. It does happen to me

and others as well. I know that I'm okay because I understand how my body reacts to stress. We are more high strung and so we feel sensations that others might not but that doesn't make it abnormal. x

When we are moving, our hearts and lungs are happy. They were made to function better when they are used. It is very normal for the heart to beat faster when we are

doing active things including talking. (believe it or not) When we talk, even if we weren't

doing anything else at the time, the heart beats a little faster and the blood pressure may go up a little but that's okay.

We eventually have to figure out our own body's reaction to activity. The minute we worry, the symptoms appear. I hope this helps some. :) xx
