A week ago I got hired for a new job, I had been told it was seasonal and on call. I was fine with that. Gotta get your feet wet Right? Well I only worked the One day and haven’t heard from them since? I got the feeling that she didn’t like how I worked? Maybe her expectations were too high ? She knew she was hiring a 65 year old person? I can’t work like a 20, 30 or 40 year old? Should I email her? Or should I wait? I really wanted this job n Need it. 😷🙏

Job or No Job?
Hello
I would say there is no harm in emailing her
I would watch how I worded it saying that I had really enjoyed the shift I did and could she tell me will there be some more in the near future ?
At least you will know then and not be sat wondering
Let us know if you do and get a reply
Take Care x
Thanks, I’ll think about it and like You said I’ll be careful with my wording? The One day I was there, I only about 10 minutes of training, she didn’t even invest hardly any time on me, how I was suppose to Learn and No support. 😷🙏
It won’t hurt to email.
Is there someone you can do job shadowing with? Job shadowing is an on-the-job learning that allows you to work with another employee. I’d ask her if someone is available, If she says no, then maybe ask her for a few minutes of her time to take some notes (get you a dedicated note book or steno pad for work) and write down certain steps or any thing needed things to help you remember. Hope it works out.
Hi Rox, thanks for writing. That’s what I did, after about 10 minutes she pulled her away from Me so I just winged it. No way can anybody learn a job in 10 minutes? And she contradict what the girl told me what to do? She seemed Overwhelmed? She doesn’t seem to be good with time management? I’ll give it this week then I’ll look elsewhere. 😷🙏
