Breathing

Why every time I leave the house I feel like I can’t breath. I can breath perfectly fine, I can take a full gasp of air and my lungs feel healthy. But mentally I can’t breathe. It feels like I’m struggling to breathe, my throat feels tight from tension. I don’t know how to get rid of this. I tried my best explaining this I know it sounds complicated

Sorry Olivia I meant to answer earlier but got distracted.

I wanted to respond to your post. Actually, I understand what

you are saying. It is not that complicated in that when we get

fearful about something, every muscle in our body tightens up

including the throat muscles.

One way to rid yourself of the tightness is to gently message the

front of your throat in order to relax those muscles.

Another thing you can do is to focus in on your negative thoughts

and reverse the thought to a positive one. Telling yourself, I can breathe

just fine. This is anxiety trying to stop me from going out. This is my body

and my mind will control my thoughts not anxiety.

I will do what I want to do and then drop your shoulders down and breathe.

Once you go out and start moving your muscles, the tightness should dissipate

as you release the built up adrenaline. :) xx

Your right, I started feeling better and relieved while I was out. It’s just the beginning feeling that’s so scary
