Sit down with your Mom and have an open conversation about your fears and how you want to be sure she stays safe as well as yourself. Mom’s protect and shield their children and family, I’m sure s she’s doing everything to keep you safe and your grandma too.

Stay focused on keeping up with mask wearing, social distancing and hand washing but you don’t have to compulsively wash hands.

Well let’s see... pregnancy scare, Covid scare, heart scare, home life stress, I’d say that for a 16 year old this is quite a bit of stress you put yourself under.

Acceptance is key to your anxiety. You need to understand you have anxiety triggers that affect you on a daily basis. You to need learn to manage anxiety and not let anxiety manage you.

For this weekend at least, stay off google, the news (online, tv, etc) negative social media and do activities that bring about calm and relaxation. Don’t get frustrated for example with grandma, she was right when your heart issues were not a problem, wasn’t she? Have a great weekend. 🌺💜

I've found that all media and news always look on the black side of things. Nobody can predict the future. It's all doom and gloom. I try to ignore unhelpful remarks or reports and take it all with a pinch of salt. Maybe because I'm older (78) I have a different outlook. The way I see it is that there is light at the end of the tunnel. A vaccine is on the horizon, the numbers of infection and death has dropped since lockdown started. As somebody else on here said, switch off from social media for a while, so many lies are told about this virus and some take great pleasure in putting the fear of God into folk.
