James have you gone to the dr since your anxiety has flared up?

Hi James. I agree with the other reply. Hope you contact your provider. In the mean time you could try guided meditation for focusing your thoughts. Peaceful and relax thoughts and breathing could help. You could be ruminating and just need to get positive images into your head. Just a suggestion. Couldn't hurt to try. :-)

James, I've been suffering from this disorder for years. However, not so much lately. I felt like I was losing my mind. A feeling of detachment, not being here, spacey, over awareness of self. I know exactly what you are experiencing. I went to see a psychotherapist and it helped a lot. First of all, know that you are not going crazy. Secondly, try to focus on something you enjoy doing; this will make you less aware of these feelings. Thirdly, tell yourself you are not alone and you will get through this. Examine your life. Let go of what you think people's judgments of you are will take a lot of pressure off your shoulders. Don't over-analyze people's view of you. Remember you can control how you feel. It will get better.
