How to shake the notion you should be doing something all the time

Hey all-

I’m 30, living in NYC but from a neighboring state suburb. I’m wondering how I can shake the notion that I should be doing something all the time. I’m a homebody, so I do like being inside but I never feel all the way comfortable. Like I feel this anxiety that I should go out I should be with people I should do x y z. How can I just be “still”? When I was living in my home state it was a quiet suburb so there wasn’t much going on anyway. But in this city I just feel like a loser everyday I’m not on some type of excursion. Please help. It sounds little, but the anxiety makes it really hard for me to relax, for my apt to feel like my home, etc.

Hi when you are still or relaxing you are doing something - you are recharging your body and your mind and this is essential for a healthy life. No one can be on the go 24/7 and why would you want to be anyway? Just because you are in a city that doesn't sleep doesn't mean you can't! x
