I’ve asked before but didn’t get much response so going to ask again😭 I’ve always suffered with panic and health anxiety since a child, I recovered for years but just relapsed and have been in a panic episode for a month now. My newest symptom is involuntary eye movements. When I try to focus on something straight on, my eyes flick the other way. The more attention I give it the worse it gets but I’m really starting to convince myself it’s MS or some other neur problem. I’ve had blood work, a routine eye exam, EKGs and a CT scan of the head all this month to rule out medical issues causing the anxiety and so far nothing but I haven’t had an MRI. Anybody else have trouble with their eyes focusing when anxious?? I’m currently on Prozac (have been for years) and now this month Ativan .5 2x a day so I am able to be a mother and work. If anyone has any reassurance🙏🙏

Eye movements
Take all of those tests that have shown nothing as your reassurance. The cruelness of health anxiety is for it to try to convince us things are still wrong, in spite of the evidence.
You know you have health anxiety and you know factually that nothing has been found physically wrong with you.
If it gets worse when you focus on it, what does that show? I’ve had to work really hard in recent weeks on convincing myself and believing that some of my symptoms (not eye related) are being made worse by my anxiety and obsessive focus.
I have had weird eye symptoms in the past which have worried me but haven’t amounted to anything. Anxiety can cause all sorts of symptoms.
Maybe at your next doctor’s appointment you need to discuss how much your health anxiety is affecting you?
You had 6 replies to this when you posted it before which is quite respectable. Some of those had or have the same experiences as you which they recognise is due to their anxiety. x
