Today I’m convinced I have a brain tumour because of these constant(by constant I mean constant)feelings in my head.(lightheaded/off balance/weird faint feelings)

I hate this so much and just want to live a normal life!!!!!!!!!!!!

So sorry your feeling like that Minnie :( if it’s any reassurance for two months I was convinced I had a brain tumour I get really bad migraines with make my face arms and legs go numb, my vision goes blurry, I get dizzy and faint it’s horrific I tried every migraine medication and nothing helped so I was given a brain mri and it was clear, no Tumour. Just really bad migraines made worse by all the medication I was on. I like you also frequently get so light headed and faint and it really is horrible so just know that you’re not alone but I can tell you that it’s very unlikely that you have a brain tumour but if you’re still worried there’s no harm in going to the doctors, I’m always here if you need to chat x

I would agree with Erin. If it’s bothering you, a check up can resolve your worry. I’ve been to the doctor several times for reassurance- definitely helps out.

I’ve been so many times.told about 5 doctors and many at the hospital about symptoms I get and they always say anxiety.

Never had any head scans because I never get any headaches or sickness or fits or anything like that.and I’ve had a lot of problems with racing heart and palpitations and other things so they just say anxiety and panic.

Oh Minnie, I can so relate to how you are feeling & the battle you are going through. One thing about this group & site is that when we read what others struggle with we sure know we are not alone! I too have "spells" where I feel off balance and or "weak". Yes, it scares me at times but I just try to tell myself it's my mind playing tricks. People often make suggestions as to what we can do to attempt to control our issues. I believe some people really can find help with yoga, meditation, deep breathing etc etc. but NO it does not help fr everyone. Every morning I say to my poor husband "I just want to enjoy what's left of my life". I've tried the suggested help methods, I take meds, I've gone to CBT classes, and yet her I am ....the mind is a very powerful organ. You are in my thoughts.

Thank you so much for your response.i just feel so fed up and debilitated.

I do now do meditation thanks to agora.it helps with my racing heart and butterflies but not really the lightheadedness.

I just wish it would go away even for a second.

I hope you manage to win this constant horrendous battle.its hellish x

Minnie, have you tried making sure you are well hydrated. When I feel lightheaded

and it does happen, it's a sign my body is giving me in that I am dehydrated.

Also of course, check your breathing to make sure you are not holding your breath

or shallow breathing. Both of those tools should help correct lightheadedness caused

from anxiety. Hugs. xx

This might sound strange but it’s almost like the butterflies in my tummy have moved to my head!😂 anxiety is a funny one! Xxxx

Gotcha....Have felt that as well. I know exactly what you mean.

How is your blood pressure? I am on medication for that but every

so often my pressure breaks through the medication making the

numbers rise. When it does, finding a quiet spot, meditating and deep

breathing can bring the reading back down to normal. I wouldn't offer

these suggestions had you not been to several doctors saying that it's

anxiety.

Anxiety and fear have such a strong hold on us but we can over come

the symptoms with practice, determination and faith that this will soon

pass. xx

My blood pressure is spot on apparently as are my oxygen levels etc.i do find that when I’m preoccupied with my heart and my trips to hospital, the lightheadedness has taken a back seat.i just think I’ve made it such a focus and a really annoying habit!

Thank you so much for everything as always xxxzx

Good to hear Minnie...So now it becomes about refocusing your thoughts. A habit

can be annoying but they are meant to be broken. Still try the hydrating, the deep

breathing and of course no caffeine. xx

I have had anxiety attacks that took several different 'forms' for a long time, about 25 years, one was not being able to find something like keys especially when I was supposed to be leaving the house, another was choking on food, not being able to swallow, not being able to digest, and most recently, though I have been 'balance challenged' for an even longer time, I have had days and I mean days and nights when I felt I was going to fall over every second. This is the one that really scared me because it felt the most 'crazy', and didn't seem to have any triggering event or sensation. Then I was reminded that one of my two regular meds can cause anxiety, oy! But it's for my low thyroid so I can't discontinue, although I'd be glad to. Oh, and I'm also agoraphobic, sometimes just low level, don't want to go somewhere with a lot of people, other times I'm so scared it feels like there's a glass wall between me and going to some event or other. I'm not trying to arouse sympathy, I'm just saying that I can seriously relate to the posts here and that makes me feel so much better. I was sooo tired of people saying, can't you just go to a group [duh! no!] or can't you just forget about it, or can't you just push a button, throw a switch, or can't you just 'get over it'? They'd not struggling with this, although I'm sure they have other struggles, everyone does. Anyway, I'm glad to have found this site and this discussion

Girl I’ve BEEN THERE. I actually recently got an MRI because I was terrified of other diseases. I was totally fine. I can guarantee you that anxiety can cause your issues. They did for me!

The people I know of who have had brain tumors (2. They are rare) didn’t even really realize there was a problem.. others did. It can affect your cognitive function greatly, more than just your average anxiety fog!

Doctors can tell even without MRIs. Like, they’d know. I know it’s not reassuring but the way I am, I think I have something and immediately move to another fear.

You’re going to be great. Breathe, and if you need to for yourself, see a doc. I promise anxiety causes ALL of this. Practice seeing if you can bring it on yourself. Stand somewhere you’re not comfortable (a store) and think about the sensations. You’ll see how easily we bring them on.

I’ve dealt with anxiety all my life but this is on another level.im pretty much housebound.

Just exhausting all this isn’t it.im tired of it all xx

in reply to Minnie87

Oh I was right there with you. Agoraphobia is a BITCH. I know exactly how you feel. Hugs - it’ll get better. You just gotta accept it’s the anxiety. It’ll happen when you’re ready.
