Anxiety after leaving stressful job

I have a bit of an odd situation going on. I used to work in Retail and I can honestly say I probably have never felt any form of anxiety. I lived on my own in a basement apartment, was dating my girlfriend now fiance, things like that. As of December, I changed jobs and my work atmosphere has gone from stress filled and people yelling at me constantly to pretty carefree, people praising me constantly, and speaking to some of the most pleasant people you'd ever meet. In January me and the missus have moved in together and life has never been better for me. Since then I've been feeling tightness in my chest and shortness of breath along with heart palpitations. I become super aware of just how fast my heart is beating and feel like I can't get enough air into my lungs. I've been to the doctor and a cardiologist and they can't find anything physically wrong. Everybody attributes it to panic attacks which it might be, I have no idea. The problem is what could possibly cause it? I'm happier than I've ever been, marrying the woman of my dream, working a great job and getting paid enough that my bank account is growing every week. If anybody could possibly have insight/advice for me I'd appreciate anything you've got.

Hi I wonder if this could be a delayed reaction to the stress you went through earlier? This would make sense to me. No matter what the reason if you need help with your anxiety then see your doctor. x

I had been at the job for almost 5 years and have worked in a similar space on and off for 12 years. I'm not excluding it as a possibility just am unsure if i'd be a time bomb for that long.

Well you said December so I presume you meant the last one?. The other explanation could be that you have had a lot of changes in the past few months and even positive ones carry a lot of stress. x
