I recently switched from taking my Prozac in the evenings to the mornings. I'm noticing that I'm starting to have panic attacks again. Has anyone dealt with this?

Whoa Jpsurf... As much as there is a place and time for medication,
we all react differently to the drug, the dose and even the time of day
it is taken.
I agree with BetterDays14 in that there also can come a time (as it did for me)
that after 30 years on the same med, it no longer worked. From there I was put
on other drugs, all being trial and error. When nothing worked any longer, my
choice was to get off my Benzos. It took two years under a doctor's care to wean
off my long time medication. It wasn't easy believe me. My brain was fighting me
every bit of the way but I kept forging ahead. I wanted to know what it would be like
to be medication free. It was amazing Jpsurf. I got myself back. Clear headed once
more. No more drugged up feeling, a glad to be alive replaced the pill.
I found other methods to reduce and finally overcome anxiety in the form of meditation and deep breathing as well as other tools that I use.
It's been 7 years now that I am off Benzos and I am grateful each day that I took
that step. We each need to find what works best for us.
Hi
I think it is common to get an increase in anxiety when changing the medication in any way. Was there a reason for changing the time of day? It may take a while to have a positive effect but if you give it a week or so and the panic attacks remain you may want to agree with your doctor that you change back to your old routine if that was better for you.
Good luck.
