("The only permanent cure is to learn exactly what anxiety is and how to accept the feelings and no longer be afraid of the thoughts and feelings of anxiety. When you understand that anxiety is a normal human response to a perceived threat that usually isn’t real, it loses it’s power. It is maladaptive behavior that you have developed, for what ever reason, to stressful events. Anxiety is a paradox, the more you resist it, the more it persists. It’s your automatic thoughts that are perpetuating the anxiety and maintaining the anxious feelings. Those automatic thoughts were initially the self-protection (fear based) part of you. The problem becomes when we believe those thoughts and start to imagine the worst-case scenarios. They are not the true you. They are a misguided way of trying to maintain control.

Acceptance of the symptoms of anxiety, the thoughts and the feelings is the key to recovery. Over a period of time, the symptoms will subside and melt away and you will cultivate a new awareness and attitude in your relationship with anxiety and yourself. When you stop searching for a quick fix or recovery, recovery will find and happen to you.")

I wish it was as easy as it being stated. As strong as i try to be it's so difficult to execute this task. Especially when your mind is extremely sensitized. When will we find relief and no longer feel hopelessness. We need to overcome and go back to our normal lives that once were.

Like you said not an easy task especially the acceptance part of it, that's difficult

Yes that's definitely true and exactly what my CBT therapist has said. I'm writing a daily diary and learning to accept it but totally agree, easier said than done. BTW, I have Emetophobia abmnd I know people have been cured so I'm working hard.
