so i had a stillbirth at 37 weeks back in may. it was a really traumatic delivery and just has been really hard of course. i had pre eclampsia as well. about 2 months after i started to feel these symptoms. every time i stand up my heart rate goes from about 70-80 to 103-105 and then literally a few seconds later it goes back to normal that’s why the don’t think it’s POTs because i guess with POTs the heart rate stays elevated? idk but can anxiety cause this?? for it to only jump when i stand i’ve been so scared and none can figure out what’s going on. 2 doctors said it’s anxiety and 1 dr said it’s odd for it to be anxiety if it’s only when i stand up. i’m just so scared and not been able to move on and live my life. all i wanna do if feel normal but i always feel crappy and anxious

it is NOT anxiety ....it is POTS..you need a better doctor....did you have the TILT TABLE TEST .....even if that is negative you can still have POTS.....I too have the EXACT same thing...it is horrible......my resting heart rate is 65 when I get up it goes to 100-120 ....it doesn't go back down as long as I am standing....but it doesn't usually go up anymore either.....try eating some salty foods and drinking lots of water and give up caffeine....those are things they tell you to do if you have POTS......there is no cure for POTS....POTS is a collection of symptoms that something is wrong with your adrenal glands....and your adrenals are affected by your thyroid gland..so I would say get your THYROID AND ADRENALS tested....ASAP......

It could be pots. Also it could be normal, your heart automatically slows when your thighs are parallel to the floor and then elevates when you stand. If you find your pulse and then squat you will feel your pulse almost stop and then go a lot slower. If two Drs believe that it is nothing to worry about I would say to trust them. If you can't then get another opinion but don't keep getting other opinions if you're getting the same answers as it won't help your anxiety. I'm so very sorry for your loss. Sending hugs xx
