Lymph node swelling long term!

Hi everyone,

I have had swollen lymph nodes below my jaw on the right side, and enlarged right tonsil since I was diagnosed with glandular fever/mononucleosis in January 2015. I was 24 at the time.

Since then, my swelling has remained in the tonsil and lymph nodes and it has NEVER subsided- just varies in size. I have had numerous bouts of tonsillitis since my diagnosis but the swelling remains even when I am infection/ pain free.

I do suffer from tonsil stones and wonder if this could be causing it or if it is an infection of some type even though I feel ok besides fatigue.

I had an ultrasound on the lymph nodes in March 2015 (2 months after mono diagnosis) and it was concluded that they were just reactive due to the mono.

Has anyone else experienced this? It has been 3 years now and I’m worried! I have mentioned it to a few GPs in the past but they keep brushing it off. I’m scared to go back in case I look like a hypochondriac but I’m scared it’s cancer or something nasty!!
