Hi beautiful people,
I am having one of those days again when I feel faint and never actually faint. It is the worst feeling...
After a long anxiety battle, I may have to consider medication. Any thoughts?

Hi Lalakeyss, if you have tried other methods of reducing anxiety and it continues than medication is always a way to break that fear for a while. Usually that faint feeling may be coming from mouth breathing (shallow) as well as not drinking enough water. Medication is always an option to use after making sure there isn't a physical cause for the issue. Run it by your doctor to see what his input is. It is not a defeat. Sometimes we need a crutch or bandaid in allowing us to keep going forward. The doctor may make the recommendation but remember the decision is always yours. Keep us updated. Hope you feel better soon tonight. xx
And you never will faint, lala, anxiety is a trickster that makes us think we're going to faint or fall over or collapse but we never do, the power of anxiety is limited, it is all bark and no bite, making us think of the worst possible scenario and worry ourselves sick about something that simply isn't the case and won't happen.
Lala, if anxiety becomes overwhelming and we have family and/or work commitments to consider there is no shame in seeking a period of relief by a course of meds. Give yourself a holiday from the same anxieties, there is no sense of failure or defeat in doing that. It simply means that now is not the time to seek recovery using self-help techniques alone. But that time will come when you feel fine without medications and during the period of relief you may want to research the various self-help techniques and decide which one appeals to you.
Either way, everything will work out well in the end, this is just a testing time and it will not last for ever.
