Menieres.
hello. I too was diagnosed with Meniere's. I've found that my symptoms are NOT ear related but are actually from extraordinarily tight neck, shoulder, head, back muscles that go into spasm going for weekly cervical, body work to relieve the spasms and doing certain exercises at home have relieved me of the symptoms for the most part (tinnitus is still here but much lower). My hearing is back to normal as well.
Hi I’m new to this group however I have struggled with this disease since 2013 including crippling vertigo where by I was unable to stand, vomiting for hours on end, being frightened to open my eyes in the morning for fear of another attack and being carted away to hospital in the back of an ambulance, it is a disease from HELL. Despite all of this there is a temporary Silver Bullet it’s called a Gentamicin injection and this is injected into the inner ear, this actually temporarily kills the balance nerve, it is a painless procedure as I was knocked out while it was administer after this is done you then have to 4 or 5 vestibular physiotherapist sessions these to can be very torturous however in the long term the whole thing is well worth it.
However I have just this week attended a follow up appointment with my specialist who put me through the ringer again with a vestibular assessment again he informed me the effects of the Gentamicin injection are wearing off and that It would need to be re-administered again as the balance nerve was growing back
