Ok I posted this morning about a big panic attack I had yesterday . I just been to the Drs we had a good talk . He putting me on Sertra to try . As I have tried many tabs before and I can't handle the side effects . So can anyone please give me any support on this tablet please . Also does it cause weight gain ??

I am on sertraline. I find the longterm side effects mild (dry mouth, dry eyes, lack of libido), but starting and stopping can be a bit rocky - increased anxiety, palpitations, feeling spaced out, feeling tired. They DO settle though, so it is definitely worth sticking with it if you get those kind of initial side effects.

Also does it effect your sleeping at night ?

Helps sleeping, I take them before bed otherwise I am a bit sleepy in the day. Side effects really awful for a week or so, settled in three weeks max. Weight gain - weight up and down anyway. So hard to tell. Maybe increased appetite, but shouldn't cause weight gain if you snack on healthier stuff rather than overeating.

Yer heard weight gain is from the food not the tablet . But my appetite is up and down with my anxiety anyway . Thanx heaps for all your information , really helps

Hi I haven't actually started it yet !! I was hoping to get a bit more feed back on here about it , but no one except you has commented . Katinma78 THANKYOU for your support , nice to have someone to talk to else where 😀👍
