Anxiety. Need ask questions
Hi been having pains in chest left arm hands been in hospital over the years numerous times had every test u can think of to check my heart but been fine like over a year Do have acid reflux gerd. So yesterday was out got attack. Started feeling dizzy. Pain in chest left arm hand blurryness felt like I wanted to pass out hands got sweaty. Went to bathroom put water on my face felt little better. Today. Bad headache. Dizziness. Left arm hand. Feel like I am getting worse
Me too Gary, I know the feeling. We are healthy people suffering from anxiety. Its mostly affects my left side also. It's a matter of staying calm and helping your mind calm down instead of constricting...I go through it often and it is awful. But we will beat it. My panoc attacks cause me entire hands and arms to constrict and I am sure our bodies get tired, so it may be remnants of that. We will never truly know. Put your trust in God and practice self love. 😚😊😊😊🙄
I truly feel for you.....I can relate...I am dealing with severe palpitations, left arm pain, panic, anxiety. Fear can do terrible things to our minds and bodies. I am waiting to see a cardiologist again, but even fear that, because "what if" he finds something serious, "what if" the stress test brings on a heart attack, "what if" I die here alone at home. I am on anxiety meds, and attend CBT classes but since going off a med of 18 yrs (Paxil) ...last autumn 2015 I have been a mess. If only there was some way of assuring people like us....it feels so hopeless at times.
Hi Frankie74, First of all, Welcome to the Anxiety Forum. There are others who like yourself suffer from a variety of symptoms that may mask themselves as being a serious medical condition. However, since we aren't doctors, it would be best to set up an appointment with your GP just to review what has been going on within the last 2 days. If your doctor feels it is anxiety that has taken over once again then we are all here to support your concerns. My best to you Gary. Take care.
I no u aren't doctors here just asking if other people experience same thing I did I do see my doctor also s therapist and they said anxiety could be the cause. Been in hospital numerous times ruled out not my heart so love talking with others see how they cope with it
Sorry Frankie74, we are told to say that by the forum in order to protect all of us as well as keep us safe. You are more than welcome to ask questions and share your thoughts as I'm sure you will get tons of thoughts and advice. Sharing personal stories is sometimes cathartic in helping us feel better. I wish you well.
Agora who are u on here may I ask
Frankie74, I'm just another person who has gone through severe anxiety as well as agoraphobia for years. I just spent the last 6 years staying in the house and afraid of everything. I have recently gotten better enough to go out again as well as having the anxiety under control. From meds, to therapy, to finally acceptance of the disorder has gotten me where I am at today.
I'd be more than happy to share my experiences of finding my way again. My best to you.
Thanks I been seeing a therapist and the other doctor who gives medication but he didn't think I needed medication but at times I feel very stressed and panic attacks hit me. I use to go to the hospital like every week but I been away from the hospital in over a year. But when I get these attacks. I feel like I am gonna die. It's bad. I stay to my self alot cause I don't wanna get these attacks specially when in public place. Past couple days bad pains in left arm hand Chest headache. But seem when I calm down it get little better To me it comes and goes. Very stressful.
You are not alone Frankie74 with the symptoms you are having. I'm glad you are seeing a therapist and are on medication right now. Your doctor is right in that you may not need any meds because that is not going to be the answer. That's just to break the circle of fear while you are getting therapy. I had years of therapy and was also on medication. I got to the point 4 years ago that I no longer wanted to be on meds. I was weaned off the drugs slowly and now it's been 2 years off any medication and I feel great. Clear headed, no longer feeling panicky, no more anxiety attacks. It took time to get to that point but it can happen . I too stayed to myself because I didn't want to embarrass myself should I get an attack in public. See, just like you. Chest pains, headaches, dizzy, the list went on and on. Hopefully the therapy will help you to accept the anxiety, not to fight it. The more you do, the worse the panic gets. Each one of us has our own way of dealing with fear, when you find what works for you, go for it.
I'm glad you are in the forum. There are a lot of good people on this site who will help you and support you. Just remember to keep an open mind on what we tell you. What works for us may not for you. You will make it one day when the time is right. Good Luck Gary.
