Does anyone get little or no sleep at night. I go to bed around eight and wake up about two hours later and just can't go back to sleep. I lay there until I see it getting light outside. Been like this for a while now. I need my sleep. Tired all day and when I try to nap during the day, I can't even do that.

Is there any reason why you go to bed at 8 that is a little early unless you are having to get up for work
Maybe try going to bed a lot later even if you feel you want to go at 8 make yourself stop up , have a relaxing bath before bed , some herbal tea or milky drink , read a little but wait till you are so tired you can't keep your eyes open and it could change this pattern you have got into because this is what I believe happens we get in a pattern then it is like our bodies take over even though we don't want them to , worth a try changing your night time routine to see if that makes a difference
You could see your Doctor and they may give you some sleeping tablets to help but I would try without first
I would avoid napping in the day if you have trouble sleeping at night , I avoid it no matter how tired I fell because just a small nap will keep me from sleeping at night

Might try some of your advise. Don't really want to take sleeping pills. I do get up at five am for work and the two hours is just not enough.
