So the girls at work want to go out for drinks etc tonight... before all this anxiety, I was abit of a party animal (A MASSIVE ONE) I was always up for going out. It was my favourite thing to do. Since all this "health" anxiety I havent really been out much... which is now over a year and a half... and I'm worrying myself, what if alcohol makes me worse, triggers something ie a heart attack. All these stupid things I'm looking into, over something so normal that I should be doing at the age of 27. I'm stuck

Hello
I understand Health anxiety and believe me a drink will not give you a heart attack I am sure but I would try not and be a party popper but will say try not to over do it with the drink as sometimes it can make us feel more anxious and even the day after so have a few and enjoy yourself , this could do you good socializing again and I hope you have a lovely time
How about opening a cupboard or something just before you go out looking all glam and saying right anxiety in you go get in this cupboard and stay there , I am having a night of and going to enjoy myself and you are not invited
My story to the T. Well last night my girlfriends invited me out for a night out so I just said I'm going to do it and I went. I had like 4 shooters and a couple of other drinks but eventually stopped and drank water I had a really fun night must say . This morning I felt a bit off but made an electrolyte 1 lt drink just to put everything back in my body must say help alot.
Drinking definitely increases anxiety but do in moderation.
It's horrible isn't it I've planned to go out with my best friend at the end of the month... Just to a bar I'm going to try and ease myself back into it slowly! X
