My anxiety also get better towards the evening. My phychiatrist told me that anxiety is worse in the morning as the stress hormone cortisol is at its highest. I thing doing exercise to realize the hormone quicker would probably help. Keeping yourself busy and distracted probably trying some meditation, yoga and breathing exercises.
Your cortisol levels are high during morning which can cause symptoms of anxiety. They level off as the day goes on and by evening cortisol levels are lower so you can sleep. Try drinking pure orange juice or pure grape juice. Vitamin C can help regulate cortisol levels. Also magnesium and potassium. Have you had tests to determine if you are deficient in any vitamins or minerals.
